1. What We Collect
When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. If you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your Google account email and display name. Guest users supply a self-chosen session identifier (e.g. a student ID string) that is stored only in your browser's sessionStorage and never transmitted to our servers as an authentication credential.
We also log anonymous page-view events (page path, timestamp) via the Base44 platform analytics pipeline for usage analytics. No personal identifiers are included in these events.
2. How We Use It
Your email is used solely to authenticate your account and send transactional emails (OTP verification codes, password-reset links). We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Backend & Hosting
This application is built and hosted on the Base44 platform (base44.com), a Wix-powered backend-as-a-service. Your data is stored in Base44's managed database. Please review Base44's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling practices.
4. Cookies & Storage
We use localStorage/sessionStorage to persist your authentication token between page loads. No advertising or tracking cookies are set. Third-party services (Google OAuth) may set their own cookies subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting the site owner. Registered users may delete their accounts by contacting support. Guest sessions contain no server-side personal data and expire when the browser tab is closed.
